German WWII Officer’s Aiguillette is made in high quality, aluminum-silver wire and was worn over the shoulder on both parade and service tunics. It was worn by Allgemeine and Waffen SS officers up until 1938 when the new SS Pattern was introduced. Identical to the Third Reich uniform accessories they are modeled on, these are complete with metal tips.

We use fine quality, 100% wool in the proper field-grey shade, correct type cardboard visor inserts, Reece keyhole buttonholes, and authentic style buttons. Typically, these have the earlier style, pebbled metal buttons painted to match the cap, as shown in the photo, but occasionally we have the cost saving, 4-hole plastic buttons that were used later in the war. This style cap was used exclusively by the SS, differing from the M-38 model in the cut of the sides and top. Enlisted Man style (EM) comes without piping and Officer’s style has correct, aluminum-silver, braided wire piping.

M43 Mountain Troops EM Bergmutze Cap
Introduced in the early 1930’s, this style cap served as the basis for the later, M-43 design. However, it has a noticeably shorter visor and higher crown, giving it a very distinctive style. The Enlisted model is made of the fine quality field grey wool and features a correct, grey-green cotton lining, pebbled buttons painted to match the cap according to regulations, and a partial sweatband in thin, grey or brown leather that is typical of higher quality caps.
